What is PriceUp?

PriceUp is a quoting and invoicing app built specifically for UK tradespeople. It helps you create professional quotes in 60 seconds from your phone, convert them to invoices, and get paid online. CIS deductions and VAT are calculated automatically.

Who is PriceUp for?

PriceUp is designed for UK tradespeople including plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, decorators, landscapers, bathroom fitters, kitchen fitters, gas engineers, carpenters, plasterers, cleaners, window fitters, scaffolders, and locksmiths.

Does PriceUp handle CIS deductions?

Yes! PriceUp automatically calculates CIS deductions on every invoice. You just enter your labour and materials costs, and PriceUp calculates the correct deduction (20% or 30%) and shows the net payable amount. No spreadsheets needed.

How does VAT work in PriceUp?

PriceUp handles UK VAT (20%) automatically. You can choose to show prices with or without VAT, and PriceUp will calculate and display VAT correctly on all quotes and invoices. If you're not VAT registered, you can disable VAT in settings.

Is there a free plan?

Yes! The free plan includes 5 quotes per month, CIS and VAT support, mobile app access, and professional templates. It's perfect for getting started or for tradespeople who only quote occasionally.

How much does the paid plan cost?

The Solo plan costs £15 per month and includes unlimited quotes, unlimited invoices, online payments, payment reminders, custom branding, and priority support. No contracts, cancel anytime.

Can I accept payments through PriceUp?

Yes! On the Solo plan, you can accept card payments directly from your invoices. Customers click a "Pay Now" button and pay securely online. Payments are processed via Stripe and deposited directly to your bank account.

Do I need a laptop to use PriceUp?

No! PriceUp is mobile-first. You can create quotes, send invoices, and manage everything from your phone. We also have a web app if you prefer working on a laptop.

Can I customize my quotes and invoices?

Yes! On the Solo plan, you can add your logo, customize colors, and personalize your templates. All plans include professional templates that look great out of the box.

What happens if I exceed 5 quotes on the free plan?

You'll be prompted to upgrade to the Solo plan. Your existing quotes will still be accessible, and you can continue viewing them. To create more quotes, you'll need to upgrade.

Can I try the Solo plan before paying?

Yes! We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with the Solo plan, we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. If you cancel, you'll continue to have access until the end of your billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. If you're not happy within the first 30 days of subscribing to the Solo plan, we'll refund you in full.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and are hosted on secure UK servers. We never sell your data to third parties.

Can I export my data?

Yes! You can export all your quotes and invoices as PDFs at any time. On the Solo plan, you can also export data as CSV for use in accounting software.

Does PriceUp integrate with accounting software?

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. For now, you can export invoices as PDFs or CSV and import them into your accounting software manually.

Can I use PriceUp for multiple businesses?

Each PriceUp account is for one business. If you run multiple businesses, you'll need separate accounts. Contact us if you need a multi-business plan.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

Do you offer discounts for annual plans?

Not currently, but we may offer annual discounts in the future. For now, all plans are monthly with no contracts.

How do I get support?

Free plan users get email support (we aim to respond within 48 hours). Solo plan users get priority email support (we aim to respond within 24 hours). You can also check our help center for guides and tutorials.

Is PriceUp available on iOS and Android?

Yes! PriceUp has native apps for both iOS and Android. You can also use the web app from any browser.

Can I send quotes via WhatsApp?

Yes! You can share quotes directly to WhatsApp, email, or SMS. Customers receive a professional PDF and can view it on any device.

What if my customer wants to pay by bank transfer?

You can include your bank details on invoices. Customers can choose to pay online (if you have the Solo plan) or via bank transfer.

Can I track which quotes have been viewed?

Yes! On the Solo plan, you can see when customers view your quotes. This helps you know when to follow up.

Does PriceUp work offline?

The mobile app works offline for creating quotes. Once you're back online, quotes will sync automatically. Sending quotes and accepting payments requires an internet connection.
